Lydia & Kenneth's wedding at the Vancouver Club is the perfect example of beauty, harmony, and elegance. We were so amazed by the amount of DIY materials that they put together for this event and we certainly enjoyed capturing them and sharing this with you. Needless to say, Fu-Lin and Gary are a very talented couple who stayed true to their vision and crafted their one-of-a-kind wedding from beginning to end.

We had the pleasure of being part of Jessica and Howard's engagement and wedding. This young, easy-going couple loved being intimate outdoors and we get to really explore and use the temperate rainforest that is in the city as their backdrop. Jessica is a quiet individual, and Howard is a funny and energetic, and romantic. Howard surprised Jessica when he took her on a horse-drawn carriage ride date deep in the forest. In a clearing on the soft bed of the forest floor, he hired Jessie from We Do Weddings Etc to set up a table, flowers, champagne, a violinist, and asked for her hand in marriage.
We were so thrilled to be invited to capture their lovely wedding just a couple months later! The couple said their vows in an intimate outdoor wedding at the beautiful Cecil Green Park House and held their reception on a yacht. Their wedding theme colour was lavender purple which matched so beautifully with the summer flowers and the greenery.

When we stepped into Tina and Andy's wedding we were very impressed by the colors and the set. The guests were embraced by a gentle cascade of the colors white and beige that casted a gentle glow on the beautiful trees that accentuated the rustic and luxurious Swaneset venue. A very memorable moment for me was the wedding cake; an ombre, rose-petal cake was baked by the bride's sister, Judy Wu. Imagine how impressed we were to learn that this wedding cake was her very first endeavor as baking and designing the cake. Amazing job, Judy!
The couple's reception centerpieces were top-notch elegant, too, with slender trees, dangling crystal and pearl tendrils, and petite cream-colored doves perched on its gilded branches. Tiny and Andy's portrait session on Swaneset, although it was chilly, it was as fun and magical as the day. The site further enhances the romantic fantasy as their profiles silhouette beautifully against the warm glow of the setting sun and the row of maple trees. This was truly an fantastical experience for us to shoot. Congratulations to the happy couple!

We had the pleasure to capture another Cambodian wedding this year! It's been so long ever since Serey + Marcus' Cambodian wedding last August. We were thrilled when Jenny and Andy told us that they will be having a Cambodian ceremony at a backyard because we love everything at a Cambodian ceremony. All the vibrant colours, flowers, paired trays of exotic fruits, blessings from beloved family and friends, and the best part is - their beautiful outfits!!! Oh, and there's always so much delicious food to eat. Yup, and the list goes on!
It gets better the next day, second part of their wedding - the Vietnamese tea ceremony at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden. It was probably the best venue to have a tea ceremony. All the Chinese touch to it with the beautiful traditional outfit, Jenny looked absolutely astonishing! Like any tea ceremony, there's always the infamous Door Games that comes first. The perfect chance for any bridesmaids to ask the groom and his groomsmen to do anything and also legitimately ask for red pockets (the monetary gift!). Andy and his men were asked to sing of else no bride for Andy, one of the common "tasks" but yet always entertaining to have.
The reception was something that we had waited for the whole year - a 500-people banquet at a fully decorated Chinese seafood restaurant in Richmond! It was definitely a huge party all night long. So glad we had the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible wedding. Now, please enjoy their epic Same-Day-Edit and be ready for the best Thor Punch Action ever filmed for a wedding film!
