Marie and Andrew's Westwood Plateau Golf Club wedding was a beautiful multicultural celebration. The sweet couple performed the Chinese tea ceremony in the morning, followed by a cozy and joyful reception at the golf club. We must gave our stunning bride so many credits for changing into three different dresses throughout the evening: a traditional white gown, a cute Korean hanbok, and a red Chinese dress. Their one-of-a-kind wedding bands are also something we can't easily miss and forget, simply irresistible!

Peggy & Davy's black and gold themed wedding at Swan-E-Set Bay is one of the most gorgeous weddings we've evidenced this year. We can't help but praise her black lace evening gown and all the good looking bridesmen and groomsmen with their matching bow ties and suspenders. The reception was so magically decorated, you've got to agree with us after seeing the video and photos.

/As Karen and Victor celebrate their paper year anniversary, we are so excited to share this full coverage of their wedding day with you. This sweet couple has been a big supporter of Modern Romance over the years, that's why we feel extremely honoured to be able to capture these special moments for them.
The ceremony was full of joy and cuteness, especially when Victor couldn't help to shed a few tears of happiness as his bride walked down the aisle. Karen, on the other hand, was super cheerful and relaxed throughout the day. (WE LOVE THIS) She even wished me happy birthday in her speech, isn't this awesome or what? The reception at Mayfair Lakes Golf Club was well-decorated with Karen's favourite purple theme flowers, linens, and cupcakes. Most importantly, they were always surrounded by their closed family and friends.

Wendy + Hansen | Hycroft Manor Wedding | Same Day Edit
/These two love birds have incredibly fun personalities. You will always see a smile on their faces. We had the pleasure to meet them recommended by Anita Lee, one of our favourite make-up artists to work with! We did not know that Wendy has this obsession with cats until we arrived at their home in the morning and saw 2 adorable cats. Then she told us she has five cats! Five! Too bad we didn't get to the other three cats that were hiding but we saw a tall glass display shelf FULL of transformer models, figurines, and what-not. We knew Hansen likes Transformers but had no idea he has an obsession for them! But we know that nothing can beat their obsession for each other. It was a great day working with many great people. The sunshine came out in the afternoon after a little rain in the morning.

Lovely picnic themed prewedding session with Amanda + Kevin, there was so much details and love to capture. They want a storybook, fairy-tale style for their prewedding session and Jessie from We Do Weddings Etc designed a perfect one for them. Floating frames, tea date under a huge tree, boutique clock, and all the beautiful decor reminded me a little of Alice in Wonderland. We then managed to head to grouse mountain for some sunset photos in their second look. Lucky to have a warm day for such gorgeous session with this couple and vendors who put this together and made it work!
Gloria + Allen | Engagement | The Diamond in Gastown

Here we are finally got to shoot this lovely mix of west coast and classic vintage engagement session with Gloria and Allen! Ever since after shooting their Save-The-Date video at the Sky Lantern Festival earlier this year, we've been talking about where to shoot, what to wear, and what theme to go with, etc etc. Gloria came up with the idea of going to The Diamond at Gastown for some shots and shots! After weeks of discussion and idea-tossing, we finally got to make ideas come true. Luckily Gloria and Allen managed to get a time slot to shoot inside the restaurant, ordered some cocktails and just went on with a little date. It was a nice date and paparazzi style approach we had. Loved the classic vintage interior of The Diamond, loved Gloria's new gown, and loved the matching outfit Allen had for Gloria. One of our favourite sessions of all times!
Iris + Steven | Cherry Blossom Engagement Session
/We are so excited to be sharing this session on the blog! We met Iris and Steven from Vivian, a friend of Yna and Yohei. It's always amazing to meet new friends, know their love story, and to photograph them. We were lucky enough to capture the last bits of the cherry blossom in at QE Park last week. We were so worried about rainy and almost canceled it. Iris and Steven were troopers and didn't mind the rain, we ended up with so many great shots of them with the cherry blossom. Thankfully the sun came out in the middle of the session, we were all so happy to see the sunshine and the rain stopped!
For those that know us, we LOVE animals especially DOGS! We got even more excited when found out Iris and Steven brought the dogs with them. It's always so joyful to photograph the couples with their pets, there's something about pets that can make people smile. The kind of smile is just different, genuine, and full of love. Can't wait to capture their wedding in May just in 2 weeks! It's going to be so great seeing some familiar faces, friends, and working with so many vendors that we know, too!
