Lydia + Ken | Snowy Engagement at Cypress Mountain North Vancouver
/We are so excited to be sharing this snowy engagement session we did with Lydia + Ken at Cypress Mountain last year (can't believe it's 2015 already!). It was a very challenging session for all of us, mostly because how freezing cold it was. It was the toughest for Lydia in her strapless wedding gown in such cold snowy condition. So glad that we brought some little disposable heat packs for them, Ken's hands were turning almost purple at the end of the session, which really worried me. We wished we had brought at least 20 of the heat packs to stuff them up! All in all, they were such troopers and braved out the freezing cold session all the way. Not a single complaint and we managed to take more than what we initially planned for, the extra hour was well worth it. And luckily we got to shoot a little more with the last bit of sunlight before the sun disappeared behind the mountains. Big shout-out to Lisa from from Shing Weddings, what kind of fantastic planner tags along and assists at engagement sessions? Lisa does! Super awesome planner to have for your big day! Call her up!

Lovely picnic themed prewedding session with Amanda + Kevin, there was so much details and love to capture. They want a storybook, fairy-tale style for their prewedding session and Jessie from We Do Weddings Etc designed a perfect one for them. Floating frames, tea date under a huge tree, boutique clock, and all the beautiful decor reminded me a little of Alice in Wonderland. We then managed to head to grouse mountain for some sunset photos in their second look. Lucky to have a warm day for such gorgeous session with this couple and vendors who put this together and made it work!
Gloria + Allen | Engagement | The Diamond in Gastown

Here we are finally got to shoot this lovely mix of west coast and classic vintage engagement session with Gloria and Allen! Ever since after shooting their Save-The-Date video at the Sky Lantern Festival earlier this year, we've been talking about where to shoot, what to wear, and what theme to go with, etc etc. Gloria came up with the idea of going to The Diamond at Gastown for some shots and shots! After weeks of discussion and idea-tossing, we finally got to make ideas come true. Luckily Gloria and Allen managed to get a time slot to shoot inside the restaurant, ordered some cocktails and just went on with a little date. It was a nice date and paparazzi style approach we had. Loved the classic vintage interior of The Diamond, loved Gloria's new gown, and loved the matching outfit Allen had for Gloria. One of our favourite sessions of all times!
Iris + Steven | Cherry Blossom Engagement Session
/We are so excited to be sharing this session on the blog! We met Iris and Steven from Vivian, a friend of Yna and Yohei. It's always amazing to meet new friends, know their love story, and to photograph them. We were lucky enough to capture the last bits of the cherry blossom in at QE Park last week. We were so worried about rainy and almost canceled it. Iris and Steven were troopers and didn't mind the rain, we ended up with so many great shots of them with the cherry blossom. Thankfully the sun came out in the middle of the session, we were all so happy to see the sunshine and the rain stopped!
For those that know us, we LOVE animals especially DOGS! We got even more excited when found out Iris and Steven brought the dogs with them. It's always so joyful to photograph the couples with their pets, there's something about pets that can make people smile. The kind of smile is just different, genuine, and full of love. Can't wait to capture their wedding in May just in 2 weeks! It's going to be so great seeing some familiar faces, friends, and working with so many vendors that we know, too!

Karen + Victor | Autumn Engagement Session | Teasers
/Vancouver is famous for its beautiful scenery all year around. We Vancouverites are very lucky to have such beautiful autumn colours to be found everywhere at this time of the year. Karen and Victor wanted a fall/autumn theme engagement session, we waited and waited till the leaves start to turn into the nice yellowish orange colours.

Eunice + Brian | Full engagement session is finally revealed

Eunice and Brian are one of our best couples we have this year. Their adorable friendly personalities, the love and passion for each other, and the amazing support they have for us is simply something we can't ask for more. We had this opportunity to shoot their engagement session, in the rain, too! One of the favourite things that we love to have at engagement session is actually PETS (especially DOGS!). We LOVE dogs and even better, they brought 3 of them! We knew it was going to be an awesome one for sure!

Brian has an obsession with toys... we wanted to take some photos at the toy shop that we passed by but it was already closed :( So we just ended up taking a sad-face shot outside the shop.
Eunice + Brian = a fun couple, so we wanted them to do something fun - fake badminton with cute lollipops!

What a beautiful day to spend with Kylie and Lemuel, just a few weeks before Lemuel moves away to pursue his career oversea. Glad everything worked out and the weather didn't fail us and the raccoons at Stanley Park didn't attack us.
